Spring 2016 was predominantly inspired by the Vietnam War and counterculture. This was a really amazing opportunity to work with a legendary designer. Erik Brunetti founded the highly influential brand, FUCT - check out the monograph Rizzoli published on it. Erik was a gracious host and expert collaborator. He educated us on so much of the background for this collection - it was really enlightening. The t-shirts feature his series of distressed/painted pin-ups. My favorite was probably the custom camouflage he created for us. Inspired by Vietnam-era helmet graffiti, it was covered with Altamont-related drawings and notes.

“Altamont teams up with Erik Brunetti for its SS16 range, which is imbued with a helping of Vietnam-era Americana.
The warm weather collection is composed mainly of tees, but also features a custom ripstop camo jacket with matching cargo shorts, an opiate-themed print woven shirt, and a flocked crewneck sweatshirt. With its defaced surf and Apocalypse Now references, the collection reimagines a decidedly dark side of 1960s counterculture with a 2016 twist.”
