I remember meeting with Aaron and Joe in a conference room to discuss launching a new artist program for Stance. We needed the inaugural artist to really stand out. We brainstormed on several candidates, and decided the best fit would be B. Thom Stevenson. We were enamored with his striking imagery and process. (I believe Chris, an old co-worker from Altamont first told me about B. Thom’s work.) Joe and I flew out to visit B. Thom at his impressive Brooklyn studio to discuss the collaboration and terms. (Joe was my old boss from Analog, so it was great to be working with him again.) B. Thom blew our minds with his creativity, I feel like we hit it off right away. We even flew him out to Stance headquarters to paint a massive mural and participate in a few events, including an art class. I really enjoyed getting to interview him at the company meeting. We were so happy with the results and workflow, that we continued to collaborate with B. Thom on further projects.

“Dropping every few months, the aim with our Untitled program is to represent the ultimate in wearable creative expression as we shine our spotlight on artists you need to know. Currently manning the underground switchboard, Stance is proud to present Brooklyn-based artist B. Thom Stevenson as our inaugural featured artist for Untitled.
Two limited box sets include a short or long sleeve Butter Blend t-shirt, special-edition socks and a hyper-limited zine.”
