I remember seeing a re-release of Fantasia in the theater with my dad when I was a kid. I thought it was wild. I especially gravitated towards the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and “Night on Bald Mountain” segments. It was so cool to see Disney making dark and gloomy imagery. For this project, I proposed creating custom artwork in the heady style of seventies black light posters. That seemed to pair well with the supernatural elements of the film. I reached out to an artist that I’ve worked with countless times since I first met him working at RVCA - Jeff McMillan. Jeff can work in any style, it’s so impressive. He was excited to work on this property, and it shows. The black light photoshoot was a really nice final touch.
